Helping to grow food locally and sustainably

Planting Plants

Regenerate & Reconnect

The Wild Edges paddocks offers a wide variety of possibilities for small scale farming and permaculture initiatives to be taken forward in constructive holistic ways. It’s proximity to the Blue Mountains World Heritage Area provides a connection with a range of natural ecosystems, bringing many possibilities in terms of wildlife observation, research or care.

Working with other interest groups and people with particular expertise, we are looking into a range of possible constructive. People in the Wild Edges community are developing skills and assessing what might be possible.

Collaboration & Community

In this we are collaborating with other organisations and people in the Blue Mountains community with expertise in evaluating a range of positive initiatives:

  • To support the Farm it Forward initiative, providing opportunities for young farmers to grow crops in a sustainable way.

  • To work with and support, as well as benefit from, other local organisations such as the Lyttleton Stores Cooperative and the Big Fix

  • A possible collaborative soil regeneration research project, exploring regenerative possibilities for overused land.
